My life has been a dream to wake up and see reality, assimilating to the facts of this racist society. Why people can’t be color blind? Why do we have to be categorized? Color is not a system to have us organized. America promised us freedom and yet we are living like slaves, are you telling me that all those sacrifices were completely in vain.  Reality it is what it is. Separation and segregation is happening and you just don’t want to see, Reality; killings, and murders are happening it is not a causality people are crying and dying due to this endless poverty. I’m sick of this madness, freedom is just an illusion, and equality is a delusion to support the term democracy.

The violence in relationship are caused by the power of media, which promotes sinister messages to the viewers, such as "mens take no, No's as answer, or sometime commercials like " your mind says no but your body says yes", making it seem as men are the dominant sex. This type of ads, or commercials are inmoral, because throughout them, mens loose respect for girls and forget to value them for what they are, instead we see them as object to control, An example from the article " Two ways a woman can get hurt" Advertising an Violence. it states that " Men are also encouraged to never take no for an answer.Ad after ad implies that girls and women dont really mean "No" when they say it,that women are only teasing when they resist men's advances" This shows how man are encourage to go beyond the limit even dought the women disaprove or says no, because for a men a no like a maybe, which is wrong.

Now picture those ads been promoted to viewrs like kids and teenager, they will grow up precocious, this may lead to futures abussers, dominant and most likely rapists. America is in a fight with this criminals but the real fight is versus the media.

Through Time America have been a male dominate country. America have always been ruled and dominated by mens, but after the womens rights came into history on 1920's women started to scale the ladder of success and breaking the invisble chain of supression and denial. In this story called " The manliness of men" i have found and interesting quote which states" Womens independece might make men more selfish"(para,26) this quote  sends a metion to me that men are more worried of succeding threw this country in a sexist way circumscribing women from the amercian dream or there own ambitions.

This quotes relate to me due to my countries system with the womens. In the Dominican Republic, women are supressed in a which they cant do the same things that men those. Some example are like women cant go outside at certain times, in the case of a men they could go and come at anytime they desire. Women are to think that if they go outside and talk to guy at certain time they get in trouble. With this facts consider not only american is sexist but the world, but we are in a time of period that women are breaking free, and there voice are heard. So know a questions for my readers who is the dominate sex?.

      "America for dummies", is a video clip about a teenager who happens to go out on the streets asking people if they reconize some political figured. After a few interviews, most people didnt know nothing about those important people that have impact our nations in positive ways, they only recongnize famous people like Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. To the Americans the rest of the world is just an unknown piece of land not worthy of admiration or value.

   The message brought to us threw this video, is that america is oblivious. Todays generation is closed minded and uneducated, they only care about their soroundings without noticing that alot of issue engulfing the exterior world, does effects us somehow, for an example the war in Iraq, we dont actually care, because we not fighting in it, but is still affecting us economicly and we didnt see it until todays recession. This video connects to me in such ways, that before watching this video i didnt saw how blind folded America was, while the rest of the world are learning and moving foward, while we are still stuck in bucket of ignorance, Drowning in apperance and stereotyping. Now i see i must get out of this cycle and learn because with knowledge theres power.
