 The movie that has had the most impact on me has been the movie "Under the Same Moon".  I have heard many stories about mothers leaving their children to cross the border to give their child's betters lives, but I have never seen it by these points of views. Watching both points of views made me realize the anxiety that both the mother and the child face. For Carlitos none of the material things that his mother could have given him were enough to replace her. Many other children would have loved this but he didn't which made me think and realize that the materialistic things weren't everything. Also what Carlitos made me realize is that we all complain that we have a lot going on in our life but he had to take care of his grandmother, himself and work with the women who helped people cross over the border.  We don't always appreciate what we have and instead complain without seeing what others face.

                Another thing that had a big impact on me was when Enrique, who was a total stranger to Carlitos , let go of his own "American Dream". Enrique was a selfish and arrogant person who always told Carlitos that people change, and as he said it to him he also showed it to him. I would have never though this of a person especially from Enrique.  Everyone in this country is very self center that they don't tend to care about anyone else nor their problems. This showed me that we can change our minds and change ourselves, especially for a good cause or for a person.

           Also that if we want to achieve a goal we can. For example Carlitos wanted to cross the border to see his mother once again. And he did, even though he had to work and live with strangers he finally got reunite with his mother. Anyone who wants to accomplish something can without no excuse, if a little boy can why cant we? This inspire me to fight and struggle for my goal because I wont be the first or last to do this.
